Černý protest v Polsku / The Black Protests in Poland

Od září 2016 lidé v Polsku chodí do ulic protestovat proti dalšímu omezování přístupu k potratům. Čtyři roky po začátku tzv. Černých protestů Ústavní soud prohlásil interrupci z důvodu vážného poškození plodu za protiústavní. Jak vypadají protesty dnes? Co se za tu dobu změnilo? Proč a koho posílají ženy do háje? Jaké jsou v tomto konfliktu strany? Jaký používají jazyk a komunikují vůbec navzájem?

Tyto otázky byly řešeny v druhém dílu cyklu Cesty emancipace, který připravuje časopis Kontradikce a Městská knihovna v Praze. S Katarzynou Wężyk, novinářkou, publicistkou a autorkou knihy Aborcja jest (2021, Potraty jsou), diskutovala Olga Słowik (FF UK). Záznam pořadu je ke shlédnutí zde.

Since September 2016, people in Poland have been marching in the streets to protest against further restrictions on abortion access. Four years after the beginning of “the Black Protests,” the Polish Constitutional Court declared it illegal to terminate pregnancy even when the fetus risks severe illness. How do the protests look right now? What has changed during this period? Why and who have women been sending to hell? What are the different sides in the conflict? What language do they employ, and do they even communicate with each other?

These are some of the questions discussed in the second episode of the discussion series Paths in Emancipation, hosted by Olga Słowik (Faculty of Arts, Charles University) and featuring Katarzyna Wężyk, author of the new book Aborcja jest. Here you can watch the discussion.
